SEAMEO-AUS EDULINK

Written by Nantana Taptamat

SEAMEO- AUS EDULINK is an online community of practice (CoP) designed by Nantana Taptamat. This project has been selected as one of the two winners of the SEAMEO Australia Education Links Award. SEAMEO- AUS EDULINK strives for building a trusted community for the professional development of its members.  The project is lead by Nantana in collaboration with Siti Muflichah. We propose bringing scholars and teachers from Southeast Asian countries and Australia to learn and collaborate with one another through this online community of practice.

We are delighted, honoured and humbled to be selected for the SEAMEO-Australia Education Links Award. A Very special thanks to SEAMEO Secretariat and the Australian Government for selecting our project. With so many high-quality applications from educators across Southeast Asia to choose from, the selection committee must have had an extremely difficult job, and we can’t express how grateful we are to get this great opportunity.

When I saw the call for application, I developed the proposal and reached out to my colleague, Muflichah, to ask if she wanted to collaborate. I could have submitted a proposal on my own, BUT I believe that we can do much more if we work with other people. I genuinely agree with Henry Ford, as he once said,
            “Coming together is a beginning,
              staying together is progress,
              and working together is success.”

This award not only allows us to work on our project, but it also gives us an endless opportunity to meet and work together with new people to make more success. Because together we can make a better world.

  1. I hope this project a great success. I think it is a good idea that we build a strong community where teachers support and get supported from one another. Cheers!

  2. Thank you Dr. Nantana and Dr. Siti. I’m absolutely bless to be part of the pilot episode of this project (e-portfololio). Indeed, my exploratory experience in this kind of innovative stuff. Hope I will be able to meet the expectations. But I am very optimistic through group support and collaboration things will be possible.
